How do I get Mini’s Wi-Fi inside a house, RV or metal building?

The short answer

The Mini’s built-in Wi-Fi may not reach well through walls or metal. Starlink documents both wired and wireless Router Mini extension options, with a wired link preferred where practical. Use the appropriate sealed cable at the Mini to preserve the connection’s weather protection.

For native Starlink mesh, verify router compatibility. For a third-party system, follow the instructions for its router or access-point role. Starlink’s Mini-to-Router-Mini guide specifically says not to enable bypass when Router Mini is being used as the Starlink mesh router.

What to check

  • Sketch where the dish, walls and indoor devices are located.
  • Check the exact Mini model and connector before buying cables.
  • Test coverage with the proposed router position before a permanent install.
